About the CAB
Wirral Citizens Advice Bureau was formed in December 2004 and commenced operations on 1 October 2005 following the merger of five Citizens Advice Bureaux across Wirral. The five centres remain at the centre of delivery services along with facilities at Arrowe Park Hospital and Moreton library. The Citizens Advice Bureau helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers, locally, regionally and nationally. We treat all our clients as individuals, working with you to solve your problems. For example, we can help you sort out any debt worries and ensure you claim all the benefits you may be entitled to. We can help with housing problems or deal with queries about consumer or tax issues. We can advise on legal matters, answer questions about immigration and we have lots of experience on family and personal matters too. We are an independent, non-profit charity, supported by a team of specialist staff and trained volunteers.
The service is offered to everyone regardless of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion, age or nationality. Wirral CAB recognises the positive value of diversity, promotes equality, and challenges discrimination.
We are committed to working collectively with other partners to deliver top quality, integrated and accessible information and advice services to meet the demands of all communities across the Borough. We regularly liaise with other advice organisations to ensure that clients get the best service for their personal needs.
Our team of dedicated and fully trained volunteers provide general advice on a wide range of subjects and they are supported by a team of specialist advisors who can deal with more detailed and specific issues.
