Volunteering

Volunteering for Wirral CAB is enjoyable and fulfilling. If you speak to people who already volunteer, they will probably tell you they do it because it's challenging, rewarding and varied and it gives them a feeling of helping the community.

Whatever your interest and skills, we can find a rewarding opportunity for you to support our work. Volunteering does not require a lifelong commitment, just your expertise and any spare time you are able to give. It also gives you the opportunity to explore a career and see if it is really what you want to do.

Wirral CAB doesn't just need volunteers to work as general advisers. In fact we can offer a range of volunteering opportunities across the organisation so you are bound to find one that suits your interests! Whatever you choose to do, your contribution will make a huge difference to both the charity and the people it serves. What could be more inspiring than that?

Depending on your interests, skills and experience, you could choose to:

Support every step of the way

Advisers do not need to know it all. We provide all trainee advisers with a comprehensive accredited training programme that will give you the skills you need to deliver a high quality service to clients. Our up-to-the-minute electronic information system contains most of the information you will need when advising clients.

You won't be left alone after you are trained. There will always be a more experienced adviser who will give you support, advice and guidance.

After initial training you will be given opportunities to develop further skills and increase the depth and breadth of your knowledge.
